Jean-Marie Pierre
Mauritian born, Jean-Marie Pierre (JMP, previously known as R3wired) is an up and coming DJ/Producer based in Cambridge.
JMP was exposed to music at a very young age, with his late father being a guitarist and pianist, it was inevitable that he would follow a very similar musical path. At the age of 11, he was introduced to the world of DJing through his brothers-in-law who would DJ at house parties. His journey began playing at small parties, local bars and weddings. It wasn’t until having played at Ministry of Sound in 2016 through a DJing school where he attended to hone his craft, that JMP realised DJing and making music is what he wanted as a career.
Shortly after, JMP decided to resign from his 9-5 office job in hopes that he would have more time to dedicate to his craft. In 2017, JMP won a runner up prize from the respected label Defected and played at the infamous Ministry of Sound Club in London where he joined the likes of Sam Divine, Low Steppa, Ninetoes, Mat, Joe, Dario D’attis, Simon Dunmore as well as played an astonishing 5 hour back2back set with Wez Saunders, the Managing Director of Defected. The very same year he made it to the Mixmag DJ competition finals and was invited to play at Mixmag Lab in London. 2018 saw JMP win the DJ Mag DJ Competition where he was invited to play on the Relentless stage at Leeds & Reading Festival alongside Jax Jones, Mike Skinner, Boston Bun and Icarus.
